The Hollow Men - Polo Farrera
The Hollow Men is a live performance by Mexican artist Polo Farrera, developed through the Systems in Question Live Art Residency as part of CASA’s Lines of Flight programme.
The work emerged from Farrera’s experience of the forced disappearance of his father in Toluca, Mexico, in November 2025, and from his examination of institutional systems of investigation and accountability. The performance considers how power shapes visibility and public life, and how institutional structures determine what is seen, recorded and acted upon.
The work was developed through a period of research, experimentation and rehearsal within Systems in Question, a Live Art Residency developed in collaboration with Performance Art Video and with support from Live Art Development Agency (LADA) and IKLECTIK.
The public programme was presented by CASA in collaboration with Brixton House and Performance Art Video, and curated by Gabriela Román González and Laurenz Agustín Argüello.

Supporting what comes next.
Artists, their work, research and time are the reason PAV exists.
Support the work. Join the community.
Your contribution helps us sustain the platform while supporting new artistic creation.
The remaining 40% sustains the infrastructure, editorial work and operations that keep the platform running. This creates a simple cycle:
Encounter > Support > Creation > Circulation >
Join the Community.
An audience can also sustain what it encounters. Joining PAV means more than following a platform.
It means entering a cultural ecology in which attention can become participation.
You encounter an artwork. You give it time. You might share it. You might support it.
That support helps another artist make another work.
